Taylor County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center did a live center conversion to install new Prodigy 76 consoles. To accommodate the space available, we installed a combination of horizontal consoles and corner units. Installing in a live center allowed us to gain feedback from dispatchers, which was then used to fine-tune product details to maximize comfort when using the consoles.
The Prodigy consoles are finished with a soft grey ash color to match the customer’s preference. The new style is better for space planning and operator health, as equipment is stored, cables are managed, and personal belongings have a place to be stowed. The room is clean, and dispatchers are able to sit or stand comfortably behind their new Prodigy Dispatch consoles.
