In 2015, Tampa International Airport made plans to create a new Consolidated Rental Car Center. The new Rental Car Center would house nine companies representing 16 brands, accommodating both the on-Airport and off-Airport rental markets. One significant contributor to congestion within the Main Terminal of Tampa International Airport was current rental car operations, and this project was designed to alleviate the issue.
911 Direct stepped in to provide our solutions for components of this project. Upon completion of the center in 2017, we were subcontracted to provide ticket counters for rental center employees to use and install new self-service kiosks to enhance the customer experience. Our products were installed with the intention of modernizing the new facility and contributing to TPA achieving its goal of becoming a first-class airport.
